In this feature film documentary, Proposition Amanecer chronicles the history of the El Paso Climate Charter (Prop K). This May 2023 election transformed the political landscape of El Paso, Texas. Through a mosaic of testimonial interviews, this film recounts the story of this controversial ballot initiative: how the organization "Sunrise El Paso" proposed a vision, how it inspired a mass movement, how it threatened Big Oil corporations to the core, and how it resulted in the birth of "Amanecer People's Project."
